Kusnacht/CH, Arlington/USA – Thanks to Loylogic’s revolutionary Loypay-technology, Abu Dhabi based Etihad Airways won the "Industry Impact Award 2007" at the 19th Freddie Awards. The award honors innovations that have the biggest impact on the industry in coming years.
Etihad Guest was honored due to its unique approach to award redemption made possible through Loypay. With the Slider, Etihad Guests can mix any amount of miles and cash to pay for their rewards. Redemption starts as low as 1 mile, allowing every member to get value from the program from the first day. The 19th Freddie Awards took place on April 26th in the Crystal Gateway Marriott Hotel in Arlington, Virginia. The Freddie Awards were introduced in order to honor the best frequent flyer and hotel programs worldwide. The Awards are named after late Sir Freddie Laker who attracted fame for pioneering low-cost air travel across the Atlantic in the 1970s.
